II Krogulski International Piano Competition
in Tarnów
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is my ultimate pleasure to invite you for II Krogulski International Piano Competition in Tarnow, which will take place on August June 29 - July 2, 2022 in Tarnów. The competition is organized by Tarnów City Council, Connecticut Chopin Foundation, Krystian Tkaczewski Foundation and Music School named after I.J.Paderewski in Tarnów.
Józef WÅ‚adysÅ‚aw Krogulski was born in Tarnów. He was a decent pianist, and excellent but wrongly forgotten composer. His legacy includes numerous genres of church, vocal and instrumental music.
As an Ambassador of Tarnow, it is my great honor to promote the person of my famous compatriot. The competition will consist of three young pianists categories and a master category dedicated to professional pianists with no age limit.
I would like to invite all pianists to come and perform in front of our famous judging panel. I would like to encourage you to visit the city of my birth and growth. You will be able to visit real "pearl of renaissance" with its famous Cathedral, Old Town Town and other monuments of the culture. The best pianists will receive invitations to perform and study in the events organized in Poland and abroad.
I hope you will attend all competition auditions and final awards concert on July 2, 2022. I believe that this remarkable event will be a strong impulse to the resurrection of the live music of the the highest caliber after difficult pandemic time.
